Tag orders for State Fair of Texas Market and Breeding Sheep and Goats are due by MARCH 31, 2022 at NOON. Tags must be ordered through Ticket Leap. Tag fee is $18/head.
Important reminders:
- The State Fair of Texas requires validation for registered breeding sheep, registered breeding goats, wether/commercial dams, and wether/commerical does.
- SELECT MARKET WETHER FOR MARKET ANIMALS do not select wether dam/doe (this is for breeding animals). If you have questions about what to order, contact Jessie Shortes 559-2313
- The State Fair of Texas requires validation for all market lambs and goats.
- All sheep and goats may be family owned and validated
- Physical validation to take place in June. Your CEA will send out updates on time/location.
Important reminders for breeding animals only:
- Ownership Deadline and Registration Papers- for registered breeding sheep and breeding goats ONLY The ownership deadline for registered breeding sheep and goats for the State Fair of Texas is June 30th. Purchase, delivery, possession, AND registration must all take place on or before June 30, 2022.
- Roll over program: Any BREEDING sheep or goat validated during the fall validation period in 2021 will be elgible to be shown by that exhibitor through fall 2024 show season. If ownership changes than the animal must be re-validated. THIS ROLL OVER PROGRAM DOES NOT APPLY TO MARKET ANIMALS.
